Milton J. Walters

Board Member

Milton J. Walters was named to DecisionOne Corporation’s Board of Directors in January 2003.

Mr. Walters is President and Founder of Tri-River Capital, an investment banking and valuation services company in New York City. Mr. Walters has more than 35 years experience with leading investment banking firms including Warburg Paribas Becker, Smith Barney, and Prudential Securities.

Previously, Mr. Walters managed the Warburg Paribas Becker and Smith Barney groups, which focused on financial institutions, each comprised of over 25 professionals specializing in mergers, acquisitions and financing.

Mr. Walters’ experience also includes valuations, fairness opinions, public and private financings of both debt and equity; conversions of mutual companies to stock ownership, mergers and acquisitions, and divestitures. His background also includes extensive expertise in credit analysis.

Mr. Walters has worked with a broad size range of clients from middle market growth companies to some of the industry’s largest institutions. These include Aetna, American Express, ARCO, BankAmerica, BancOne, Chase, Citicorp, International Paper, NYNEX, Rochester Gas & Electric, Rockwell International, and Sara Lee.

In addition to his Board role with DecisionOne, Mr. Walters currently serves on the Board of Directors of Sun Healthcare Group, and Fredericks of Hollywood and he is also an officer of three family businesses.

Mr. Walters is a graduate of Hamilton College, Clinton, NY, where he is a former trustee, as well as a former trustee of Friends Academy, Locust Valley, NY. He is a member of the Economic Club of New York and the National Association of Corporate Directors.
