DEVON, PA and SAN DIEGO, CA (December 21, 2009) – Technology support leader DecisionOne today announced the closing of their acquisition of the MVS division of Anacomp — a privately held diversified IT and business services company headquartered in San Diego, California. The transaction is consistent with DecisionOne's strategy of acquiring business in its core areas of operation to enhance the company's ability to provide superior, low-cost IT support services. Terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

The acquired division of Anacomp provides authorized technical support and maintenance on behalf of Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) customers and direct to end-user customers across North America; operates principally in data center environments, and markets its services principally through business partnerships — complementary to DecisionOne's business model. Joining DecisionOne are approximately 200 Anacomp employees, including a geographically distributed team of field technicians and staff from all functional areas of the company. The acquisition also brings with it approximately 750 Anacomp customers. From a skills perspective, Anacomp brings expertise in supporting data center output, storage and network devices — key areas that DecisionOne has targeted for growth in 2010 and beyond. In addition, the business combination will add more than 10 percent growth to DecisionOne's top line, and enhances the company's organic growth prospects through key Anacomp account relationships.
